Skillet

Skillet adalah group musik Hard Rock Christian dan Alternative rock yang pernah dinominasi untuk penghargaan Grammy. Band ini berasal dari Memphis, Tennessee. Band ini terbentuk dari John Cooper (vokal, bassis), istrinya Korey Cooper (pemain gitar, pemain keyboard, penyanyi), Ben Kasica (pemain gitar), dan Jen Ledger (pemain drum, penyanyi). Skillet sudah mengeluarkan delapan album, dua menerimaPenghargaan Grammy nominasi yaitu: Collide dan Comatose. Lebih dari 13 tahun, Skillet telah membentang banyak ragam jenis musik seperti hard rock, industrial rock, dan symphonic rock. Pada bulan maret 2010 mereka menjual 1.6 juta albums di seluruh dunia.

Album Awake (2009–sekarang)

Album Studio Skillet yang kedelapan bernama Awake, album ini berisi dua belas lagu dan dikeluarkan pada tanggal 25 Agustus, 2009. Album ini memetakan di nomor 2 di papan iklan top 200 dengan menjual sekitar 68,000 dalam minggu pertama. Lagu "Hero" dikeluarkan sebagai singel mereka pada tanggal 19 Mei 2009 dan Lagu "Monster" dikeluarkan pada tanggal 14 Juli, 2009. Deluxe Version album ini mempunyai lagu esktra yaitu "Dead Inside" dan "Would It Matter". Lagu "Monster" digunakan WWE sebagai lagu tema bayar-per-tayang Hell in a Cell tahun 2009 dan lagu "Hero" digunakan sebagai lagu tema untuk WWE Tribute to the Troops dan bayar-per-tayang Royal Rumble tahun 2010. Dua lagu ini juga termasuk dua dari beberapa lagu untuk WWE video game bernama WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010. Pada tanggal 14 Februari 2011, gitaris utama mereka Ben Kasica, secara resmi mengundurkan diri karena memiliki kesibukan lain setelah 10 tahun bersama Skillet.
